Your salon gets busier, while guests still feel cared for.

Karna connects WhatsApp booking, the Appointment Book, multi-step packages, service recipes, guest notes, commission, and the owner summary, so your team's time goes to guests, not to paperwork.

Salons and spas sell an experience, and many people work on each one.

One visit can involve front desk, assistants, stylists, therapists, cashiers, and owners. Everyone needs the same information so guests feel cared for while the team stays out of admin overload.

One service can have several steps. Wash, cut, then blow-dry. Each step takes its own time, and sometimes a different person does it.

Personal experience depends on clean notes. Guests want to be remembered: allergies, massage pressure, favorite stylist, last color, and small preferences that shape the experience.

Margin depends on how much product is used. Profit is not only shaped by service price, but also formulas, material measurements, discounts, commissions, and payment fees.

From a late-night chat to a paid bill: Guests ask through WhatsApp and immediately get relevant service options. The AI offers the open times and puts the booking in the therapist's column in the Appointment Book. Multi-step packages are scheduled in order, and each service's recipe sets its ingredients and amounts. Once the bill is paid, commission, ingredient stock, and guest points are recorded too.

The problems you face and how Karna solves them

  1. Problem

A stylist leaves, and their clients leave with them.

A client's favourite colour formula is remembered only by that stylist. Allergy notes, last treatment, pressure preference, and last colour live in chats or staff memory, not in a system.

    How Karna helps

The formula history is kept in the client profile, so the next stylist can repeat the exact same result.

  2. Problem

Commission is hard to calculate when two stylists share one service.

Example: a 120-minute colouring done by Stylist A and Stylist B, with a price that depends on who does the colour. A wash, cut, and blow-dry package gets logged as one block, so the next therapist's schedule slips and per-step commission is hard to split. Senior stylists, juniors, assistants, therapists, and product sales can follow different commission rules that spreadsheets struggle to protect.

    How Karna helps

Multi-step packages: each step is recorded with its stylist, per-step commission is calculated automatically, the price follows the stylist on the main step, and the guest still gets one line on the bill.

  3. Problem

Bookings arrive after the salon has closed.

A guest who asks at night does not wait until morning; they look elsewhere.

    How Karna helps

The AI Receptionist keeps answering WhatsApp chats and makes the booking while the salon is closed.

  4. Problem

Chats get a late reply, and clients move on.

Guests ask for slots at night or while the front desk is busy, then choose another place because the reply comes too late.

    How Karna helps

The AI Receptionist replies within seconds, even while the front desk is serving a guest.

  5. Problem

Stylist hours stay empty while online bookings stay low.

A slot that goes unfilled today cannot be sold tomorrow.

    How Karna helps

The AI Receptionist opens a booking channel through WhatsApp, and the cashier calendar shows one column per stylist: tap an empty slot for a quick booking.

  6. Problem

    Product cost goes unrecorded.

Color formulas, cream, serum, masks, and shampoo measurements often rely on habit, making material cost hard to read. Actual usage goes unrecorded, so profit in reports looks larger and stock runs out unnoticed.

    How Karna helps

A recipe only names the ingredient group (for example Colorant); the stylist picks the brand and shade used, stock goes down by that choice, and anything above the recipe amount is added to the bill automatically.

The same problems in every kind of business
A group arrives and one person pays for everyone.

If bills are merged carelessly, the record of who served whom is lost, and commission becomes a point of argument.

Merge bills: bills are combined and paid once, each bill's record stays intact, and commission goes to the right person.

The cashier and the owner become an information desk.

Staff keep asking the cashier or the owner about today's schedule, customer notes, and their own commission.

The Staff App: schedule, customer notes, and commission are open on each person's own phone.

The owner cannot watch over everything until late at night.

Without tidy records, cash differences, refunds, and price changes surface later, with no trail of who did them.

Till closing per shift, refunds that need approval, per-person access rights, and an activity log.

The owner needs figures from every side of the business, but has to compile the reports by hand.

Work out how much revenue may slip away

Booking chats that get a late reply often end up booked somewhere else. Fill in three numbers below for a rough picture.

The formula

chats per day × share left unanswered × average price × 30 days

Example: 10 chats a day, 30% of them unanswered, an average price of Rp 150,000. That gives 10 × 30% × Rp 150,000 × 30 = Rp 13,500,000 per month.

24/7 WhatsApp booking that knows your services and schedule

The AI Receptionist answers booking chats on WhatsApp, checks therapist schedules and shifts, then makes the booking. It can also suggest add-on services you choose. Answer booking requests while the salon is full or already closed. Check service length, therapist shifts, and outlet opening hours before confirming. Follow every conversation in the Inbox, and take over when a guest needs a person. The result: chats that arrive while the team is busy still get answered, and the front desk is no longer the only link between guests and the schedule.

Karna Inbox: the AI replies to Sari Melati on WhatsApp, books a Hair Spa for 10:00 tomorrow, and suggests adding a Creambath

Guest notes that make service feel personal

Staff write down a guest's allergies, behaviour, and preferences. Whoever serves them next can read the notes alongside visit history and formulas. Read guest notes in the staff app before the service starts. See the formula and amounts from the previous visit. Keep the experience consistent even when a different staff member serves the guest. The result: guests don't have to explain their allergy to every new staff member.

Multi-step packages, scheduled in order

Build packages such as Wash, Cut, then Blow-dry. Each step has its own duration, is scheduled in order in the Appointment Book, and can go to a different staff member. The package's total time is the sum of its steps. The main step sets the package price at the POS. Choose who can do each step, then pay commission per step. The result: package schedules are easier to predict, and each person earns commission for the step they did.

Recipes for standard amounts and recorded usage

Every service has a Standard Recipe: ingredients or cross-brand ingredient groups, amounts, and units. Set formulas for color, cream, serum, masks, shampoo, or other treatment materials. Record the amount actually used, and stock goes down by that amount. Charge an extra fee when usage goes past the standard amount. The result: every bit of product used is on record, and guests who need more pay the difference.

Commission by staff level, down to each package step

Set service and product commission per outlet and per staff level, as a percentage or in rupiah. The POS calculates it from every sale. Set different commission for Junior, Senior, and Master at each outlet. Reduce month-end arguments with numbers tied to original transactions. Split a tip across several staff members in one sale. The result: stylists and therapists can match their commission to the same sale the guest paid for.

Frequently asked questions

How is commission calculated when two stylists share one service?

Through multi-step packages: each step is recorded with its staff member and commission is calculated automatically per step; the guest still gets one bill.

How does the AI know a stylist is fully booked?

The AI reads the same appointment book and shifts as the cashier. Taken slots are not offered, and AI bookings show up in the cashier calendar right away.

Who owns the client data when a stylist leaves?

The business does. Notes, visit history, and formulas are stored in the client profile, not on staff phones.

Can reports be exported?

Yes, export to CSV/Excel up to 50,000 rows, and gross profit and margin are in the Sales Summary.
